Thanks to its special treatment the matt surface of HERMA PETP white matt laser offers an excellent print quality in screen, letterpress and flexo printing.
The film may also be printed with laser printers and it is possible to write on the film with ballpoint pens, pencils etc.
HERMA PETP white matt laser suits perfectly for production of labels that have to be resistant to high temperature and moist environment (e.g. type plates).
Adhesive 62Z has a very wide spectrum of applications. It is suitable for rough and curved surfaces as well as for synthetic surfaces and packaging films. The adhesive is highly resistant to light, heat and ageing. The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners. The material complies with BS 5609 Section Two (Resistanceto Sea Water).
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is four years from date of production.
All ingredients of adhesive 62Z comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62Z can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 5 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 21.04.2025).
Furthermore the self-adhesive labels with the adhesive 62Z can be used for labelling of blood bags (Expert's Opinion from April 29, 2021).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
