Thanks to its special treatment the matt surface of HERMA PETP white matt laser offers an excellent print quality in screen, letterpress and flexo printing.
The film may also be printed with laser printers and it is possible to write on the film with ballpoint pens, pencils etc.
HERMA PETP white matt laser suits perfectly for production of labels that have to be resistant to high temperature and moist environment (e.g. type plates).
The adhesive 62Gpt shows a very high tack even on cold surfaces down to -10 °C. Due to the high initial tack even on moist surfaces 62Gpt is particularly suited for labelling polar and nonpolar surfaces such as plastic containers, film wrappings and other packaging materials. The 62Gpt suits especially well for fast running dispensers, in which the initial tack has to be built up extremely quickly as f.ex. when the labels are blown on the substrate.Once labelled the adhesive is highly waterproof.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is two years from date of production.
All ingredients of adhesive 62Gpt comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62Gpt can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 3 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating various materials. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 10.10.2025).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
