Thanks to its special surface treatment the glossy surface of HERMA PP 50 transparent tc offers an excellent printing quality in all conventional printing methods like e.g. UV flexographic printing. The primer on the back ensures perfect anchorage of the adhesive. In combination with the appropriate adhesive, this product is perfect for applications where the removability of the label is required. This film is not intended for use in unprinted zigzag applications, in which the coated print surface is in contact with itself.
HERMA PP 50 transparent tc is perfect for the production of optically demanding, glossy transparent labels. It is particularly suitable for labelling cosmetic products, cleaning agents etc., as well as for applications demanding resistance to chemicals or weather.
Adhesive 42E shows good tack and adhesion in combination with soft and clean removability from a wide variety of substrates. Especially on plastic surfaces like PP, PET, ABS 42E can be removed easily. 42E is also suitable for different cardboards and non-coated glass. The adhesive allows label application at a wide temperature range and it retains its removable properties even at low temperatures. 42E features excellent resistance to light, heat and ageing.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is one year from date of production.
The label film HERMA PP 50 transparent tc complies with the legal requirements or recommendations of Regulation (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 and subsequent amendments up to Regulation (EC) no. 2020/1245 on plastics and articles intended to come into contact with food as well as of Regulation (EC) no. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 42E can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for lamination of plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as above mentioned adhesive is concerned. (Declaration of no objection valid until 11.09.2026)
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
